OSA Recruitment in collaboration with the Institute of Directors(IoD) has created the only official appointments register for local non executive directors (NEDs)
The register has since developed into a list of high calibre candidates whose skill sets are more than capable of expanding the pool of locally available NEDs and looks to satisfy today’s corporate governance demands for greater board diversity.
Mark Thompson, Chairman of IoD Guernsey Branch said
“The appointment of NEDs in today’s market place is under growing scrutiny from regulators and governance standard setters locally and onshore.
Indeed the FRC’s review of the Higgs Guidance on Improving Board Effectiveness has highlighted the need for the director appointment process to have due regard to ensure the right skill sets are present in the boardroom and active consideration is given to diversity on a board.
Suitability and time availability of NEDs are no longer ‘nice to haves’ but are prerequisites along with a transparent selection process. I believe the diversity of our membership together with those who have completed the Chartered Director programme more than provides the range of skills and resources that local boards are seeking. To date, OSA Recruitment have successfully appointed a number of NEDs and we positively support the NED Register”
Nick Graham, Managing Director of OSA Recruitment said “OSA is delighted to be working withthe IoD. We are excited at the prospect of extending the gene pool of local NEDs, providing a demonstrable transparent selection process. We hope that more people will discover that a NED appointment can be hugely satisfying and that the role is not just for a small number of retired and professional individuals”.
If you are an individual looking to take the nextstep in your career or a corporate looking to appoint a non executive director the OSA Recruitment NED Register is uniquely positioned to help deliver your expectations.
